Rubber

Talc are used in seals, hoses, membranes, cables, stoppers and tires to improve processing, permeability, weathering, electrical properties, fire resistance and mechanical properties such as tear.It also improves the dispersion of reinforcing fillers reducing mixing time.Talc also have a synergistic effect with carbon black providing optimum processing and properties and a good cost-performance balance.

1. Tires:
Impermeability is a key property of high performance tire inner liners—when impermeability is good, tires run consistently at design specifications and offer good rolling resistance, handling and cornering performance as well as wear. When used as a reinforcing filler in tire inner liners,Talc’s lamellar properties restrict air diffusion in the rubber compound reducing permeation.

2. Wire and Cable:
Talc’s hydrophobic and electrically neutral platelets make it an ideal insulator for wire and cable. It also works in synergy with metal hydrates for outstanding fire resistance. It also generates less smoke and reduce gas emissions; act as an excellent char promoter.

3. Industrial Mechanical Goods :
Talc improves the performance and durability of molded and extruded parts for domestic appliances and building applications. Talc’s hydrophobic and electrically neutral platelets make it an ideal multifunctional, reinforcing filler for conventional or thermoplastic rubber products such as hoses, washers, seals, stoppers, flappers, gaskets, o-rings, grommets and cables used in household appliances such as washing machines etc. Talc improves the performance and durability of molded and extruded profiles, seals and gaskets used in the building industry. It acts as a multifunctional filler and processing aid and substitute of Carbon Black.
